How I see myself, or what that person looks like who jumps in front of me when I look in a mirror? I've been writing since I was about 14, but first considered it before I could even read. Majored in English to my Associates degree, then business for my BA. I've worked for a natural resource agency for 22 years, a mission that is dear to my heart, and through my work and traveling to visit my children, I've seen a lot of this country and parts of Canada. I love to travel (but hate to pack), and hope to do a lot of it before I'm done with this journey we call life. Love my kids and want to be like them when I grow up, love animals, love outdoors. I'm a determined, but untalented do-it-yourself home improver, grew up on a farm, I'm a Scorpio and single. What more should I reveal?

Well, in November I began dating Charles Durham, a member of my writers group that I had known for 3 years. Quickly we decided this was IT. By Christmas we were engaged, just trying to meet all the kids (he had 4, I had 3), and set a date. Then in February he was diagnosed with leukemia. Despite 2 rounds of chemo, he passed away in April, before we could be married.

He was an awesome writer (The Last Exile, Walk in the Light, Temptation, and When You Are Feeling Lonely, plus unpublished manuscripts), an editor, pastor, historical reenactor, artist, sailor, gunsmith and builder of muzzleloading firearms, outdoorsman, substitute teacher--just the most extraordinary man I've ever met.
